Last night, I saw the moon rise. It was astounding. I have never seen the likes of it before. First, there was just an illuminated glow softening the jagged edges of the large hill. Then, the moon started to rise. I could see a crescent, half, three-quarters! Finally, the whole moon was above the hill. The majestic sphere sailed through the sky until it could go no more. The moon gave off a great light. The stars and constellations surrounded the moon. The Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, there was even Orion! It was amazing!
