5 straight
In April of this year, Aspen was playing club volleyball. They played with a lighter ball, and lower nets, and they were allowed to serve from the “20 foot” line. For two weeks, Aspen really struggled to get a serve in.
She worked on it, though. And she worked on it some more over the summer.
Tonight, her JV school volleyball team went to a third game against their rival, Woodland. When Aspen’s turn to serve came up, they were down 8 – 10, in a race to 15. When Aspen was done, her team was leading 13 – 10, and went on to win 15 – 11. Pretty sweet.
(Note: the picture is actually from the prior game, but you get the point.)
