The Best of Bavaria
It seems that no trip to Bavaria would be complete without a visit to King Ludwig’s famous castles near Fussen. We obliged and spent a morning touring the castles. We opted to spend the afternoon tearing down an alpine luge track.

“Push it forward!”
“So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good-bye” Germany and Austria!
Actually, this wasn’t the end of our European vacation – just the end our photos (whew!). As Tim has chronicled, we scrapped the rest of our plans for Tirol, Munich, and Dachau. Instead we drove 6 hours to Monchengladbach to see the USA vs. France semifinal in the Women’s World Cup. We’re so glad we did!
