Occasionally, I talk about my “boys” here on this blog. Generally, this refers to all the guys I grew up with from Milwaukee, many of whom I still see regularly… These are the guys who come down for the Nashville Masters, who I visit every time in Milwaukee, and with whom I’ve played fantasy football for about 15 years. These are good people.

(Congrats, by the way, to Whitaker… Evan Robert was born on Lindy’s birthday! These boys, by the way, even out all the girls in my life… so far, there are 5 boys amongst their kids… no girls!)

So, back to the original point of this post. I got a voicemail last night. While it doesn’t translate entirely to text, the quality of this prose simply couldn’t be kept off the web. I present to you… Chad Bolliger:

Hey Martins, this is Bolliger, dude, just jammin’ on the way home… to a little Raffi. I don’t know if you know Raffi or not, but uh, it’s quality kids’ tunes.

Anyways dude, I wanted to ask you a couple questions. One, have you seen the TV show called Glee? G – L – E – E. I’m going to say the answer to that is yes. And if it is not currently the answer, I’m going to suggest, that within the next two weeks, the answer to that, is yes, my friend. Take a look, take a listen, lemme know what your vibe is.

And uh, I don’t know, I was just calling ’cause, I also like to talk trade… at any point… I have no idea what we’ve got going on, or if we got any fits, but I just wanted to flirt it out there a little bit if there was any option. Word.

Talk to you, babe.

And, if there’s any confusion whatsoever: He did spell Glee for me, he did call Raffi “quality kids’ tunes”, and he did refer to me as “babe”.
