Ask yourself this… are you ready for a throwdown?
—Bobby Flay

Bobby Flay has a show on The Food Network in which he travels the country challenging various cooks to make their favorite dish in a competition with him.

A couple of days ago, Angie suggested that sharing Oakley’s hula hooping skills wouldn’t be enough… We needed to provide some context… We need to know from whence she got her skills.

And so, the Hula Hoop Throwdown was born. Was I ready for a throwdown? Yes I was.

Note: My favorite part is where Oakley starts walking around with the hoop… it starts hitting the wall on the stairs, and she doesn’t even care! She just keeps going!

That’s funny. My favorite part is definitely the musical accompaniment.

  2. Angie says:

That? Totally made my evening! Oakley is a hula-hoop prodigy. I kept waiting for her to let out a big yawn. I bow down before you and Jenn for putting yourselves out there. My skills are somewhere between Tim and Lindy’s.

In the words of Uncle Brian, “wow.” Something about this is amazingly addictive to watch. Yes, I sat through all 4:00 and also thoroughly enjoyed the musical accompaniment. I think I sorta sat here with a silly grin on my face and a bit of anticipation of who or what was to come next. One thing is for sure, I do NOT want to meet Oak in a dark alley with only a hula hoop because I would surely lose. And Lindy is definitely on the brink of hula hoop prowess as well. Kudos to the trees.

  4. That was AWESOME!!! Oakley RULES! Mad skillz on that girl! My abilities rank up there with the likes of Mr. Martin, I’m afraid. Excellent piece of movie mastery! Loved it!

Carlisle asks why are they all doing that. She has no idea what a hula hoop is. Oakley is amazing and obviously sets herself apart from the rest of you guys!
